Following completion of the acquisition of Credit Suisse Group AG by UBS Group AG on 12 June 2023, the boards of directors of UBS Group AG, UBS AG and Credit Suisse AG approved the merger between UBS AG and Credit Suisse AG, whereby UBS AG is the absorbing, surviving entity and Credit Suisse AG is the absorbed entity ceasing to exist following completion of the merger ("Parent Bank Merger"). The merger agreement between UBS AG and Credit Suisse AG has been signed on 7 December 2023, subject to regulatory approvals. The Parent Bank Merger is expected to take place in 2024. It is part of the complex legal integration of Credit Suisse group into UBS group following the merger between UBS Group AG and Credit Suisse Group AG.
