Bär & Karrer is pleased to announce the election of Cinzia Catelli, Laura Widmer and Dr. Pascal Hachem to the firm's partnership. The new partners will strengthen the firm's litigation and arbitration, internal investigations and employment practices. Moreover, Dr. Christian Kunz and Micha Schilling are promoted to counsel. The appointments are effective as of 1 January 2021.
Cinzia Catelli advises in dispute resolutions and represents parties in international arbitration and litigation before state courts. Her practice focuses on corporate law disputes, commercial disputes in various industries (energy, pharmaceutical, banking), litigation in connection with insolvency proceedings and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards.
Dr. Pascal Hachem conducts internal investigations, represents domestic and foreign corporate clients in contentious matters, including pre-litigation claims management, and advises on commercial contract law. He is a regular speaker and contributor to leading publications in his fields of expertise.
Laura Widmer is a Certified Employment Law Specialist and focuses on advising Swiss and foreign individuals and entities on various aspects of Swiss employment law, in particular with regard to individual and mass dismissals, reorganizations, compensation plans, employment litigation and transactions. She has been a counsel at the firm since 2016.
Dr. Christian Kunz specializes in internal investigations, cross-border proceedings, data protection law and private M&A transactions. He also regularly advises on general corporate, corporate governance and commercial matters.
Micha Schilling advises clients in finance, M&A and corporate transactions, with a particular focus on corporate, investment grade, acquisition and other leveraged finance lending, both in domestic and international deals where he is regularly representing borrowers and lenders.
