Bär & Karrer Advises Union Bancaire Privée on its Acquisition of Millennium Banque Privée

Union Bancaire Privée, UBP SA (UBP) and Banco Comercial Português, S.A. (BCP) entered into an agreement whereby UBP will acquire all the shares of the BCP group’s Swiss private bank, Millennium Banque Privée - BCP (Suisse) SA. Founded in Geneva in 2002, Millennium Banque Privée is specialised in providing private banking services for individual and institutional clients, with a focus on Europe, Latin America and Africa. The transaction, which is a share deal, is subject to the approval of the relevant regulatory bodies and is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2021.
