Bär & Karrer Cycling

Bär & Karrer is a law firm whose employees are actively involved in cycling. Bär & Karrer organises and participates in internal and external cycling events and cooperates with Tortour, among others.

BK Cycling brings together passionate cyclists and regularly organizes team rides mainly in Switzerland and other European countries.

Roof Terrace - Our Retreat

The 2'500m2 roof terrace of Bär & Karrer is not only one roof terrace of many. A holistic view enabled the sustainable concept including the use of synergies between plants, animals and humans. The roof terrace of Bär & Karrer is not only to provide a recreational area for every employee, but also to create a new habitat for biodiverse animals and plants.

Employees with a green thumb can let off steam in Urban Gardening. The roof terrace offers a new home for Appenzell Spitzhaubenhühner and adopts a Moorish turtle family. In addition, honey bees buzz around on the green roof surface.

Bär & Karrer and its employees live up to their social responsibility in various ways. In particular, we have numerous personal and firm-wide engagements for charitable or not-for-profit organisations, as well as a long-standing tradition of providing our legal services on a case-by-case basis free of charge – i.e. pro bono – if it serves a good cause. Our pro bono mandates include supporting individuals and families in need, advising small businesses in financial difficulties, or providing free legal services to organisations in the public interest sector.
